Lyrics that were not.

The Lab. I thought I'd fall
but I didn't know i fell so deep.
I thought there was a ladder
but there was no steps to it.
I thought i could scream
but even so my voice felt thin.
I thought there was a way to bleed
but I know I'd regret what I did.
You say you speak for yourself
yet the world does it for me.
You say being strong ws the key
yet I never seemed to break free.
You said rhyming words did the trick
yet there was no alternative I could pick.
You said the lyrics were done by me
yet i realised it seemed an epic tragedy.
The bird sing their throats dry
The toads flinched when bullfrogs cry
The petals shy with pink-reds,
The dead leaves were as I had said.
I tried, I did.
Last week's pie was indeed sweet...
I thought I'd fall
but I didn't know i fell so deep.
I thought there was a ladder
but there was no steps to it.
I thought i could scream
but even so my voice felt thin.
I thought there was a way to bleed
but I know I'd regret what I did.
You say you speak for yourself
yet the world does it for me.
You say being strong ws the key
yet I never seemed to break free.
You said rhyming words did the trick
yet there was no alternative I could pick.
You said the lyrics were done by me
yet i realised it seemed an epic tragedy.
The bird sing their throats dry
The toads flinched when bullfrogs cry
The petals shy with pink-reds,
The dead leaves were as I had said.
I tried, I did.
Today's rye was but a deed.
